Description of the race:

This race is intended for sportsmen (athletes and other modalities) and for the people willing to end the year doing sports. Thus, we have decided to provide this race a festive environment, with a distance that anyone who sets himself to run can complete. We do not forget about the competitive part of the race, so the first three men and women that cross the finish line are going to receive an award.

In the last editions, we had around 500 participants on average, from which a big amount comes from our locality. Federated clubs with their own respective clothing, dressed up quadrilles, athletes trying to improve their marks… we can see a big variety of runners with different goals.

The San Silvestre txiki (small San Silvestre), will start at 5 pm (17:00 h) from the Musika plaza and all the children younger than 13 will be able to participate in this race. There will be two different classifications, one for girls and another one for boys. And the winners from these two classifications will be given a bag with sweets.

The adult rollers’ race will start at 5:30pm (17:30 h). The total distance of the route consists of 4km, and will be completed along the downtown streets of Zarautz: Musika plaza, kale nagusia… The streets are fully crowded by people cheering for the participants on this significant day of the year. To finish the races, the adult race will be held at 18:00.
